How To Advertise In Ezines

Ones there was a time where this was one of the most effective advertising mediums. But is this still the case? The answer is yes and no

The point is that right now, more then ever, more and more of these ezine owner realize they can make more cash advertising with their own affiliate links rather then let someone pay them to advertise. So you need to know a couple of things before taking this route.

1 thing you want to realize is that it has no purpose to pay good money to advertise in an ezine with low open rates and readership. This presents us with the first problem because the best just don't accept advertising anymore. Or are very expensive.

Another thing is that a lot of these ezines that are sent through email are normal email formats. Nothing fancy. And again, the only ads inside are usually ads they profit from themselves.

Yes, there are good ezines you can pay to advertise in. But these are usually the ones that aren't too big and just started to grow. They start out with using the old type of ezines, giving you articles, resources and ads.

If you do find one of the ezines, it's is very often hard to get in. in the normal way that is.

But if you're creative, there are always methods to get in. For instance, if you got a product, contact the ezine owner and offer them some more commission. Maybe 60% instead of the 50% you pay to lesser mortals?

Always read de list you want to publish your ad in, before publishing. Make sure they actually provide good content to their readers.

Also always ask for proof. They make claims, so let them proof it and back it up with real life stats of open rates, etc.

Classifieds and bottom sponsor ads are a big no, no too. Unless you don't have the funds for more, always try to go for the top sponsor ads or solo ads.

A valuable tip: go to online networks that publish for ezines. They oftenly have the best ones in their networks at the best possible rates for you.
